Notes from the 1st base line

Rachel playing baseball. Yes her dress is inside out - she wanted it that way. We weren't leaving the house so why fight her on it?

So last week we were at the baseball fields Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday. Charles was also out there on Wednesday night. 6 out of 7 days last week we were at the baseball fields. I feel like we should just build a house right next to field #4.  Since we were there so many  nights the kids got restless and board of being there by day three.. Of course disaster didn’t strike until Saturday. Lilly feel off the 2nd row of bleachers and Rachel fell back and smacked her head off of the row of bleachers behind her. Yeah not a fun day for mommy. Tonight is baseball practice and we’ll be loading up the van at 5:30 to head out there.

Besides that I’ve been working on my Avon business. How did I not do this before? I’m averaging about $90 every two weeks. That’s $180 a month. Do you know what we can buy for $180 every month? My van is no longer always on empty. Instead the lowest it gets to now is 1/8 of an tank. We no longer worry about if we’ll have enough diapers to make it through until we get paid again. Instead we’ve been stocking up when we have coupons & the diapers are on sale. A $10 pack of diapers for $6? Yes please. We’re even able to treat the kids a little bit each month. Its nice to be able to do these things. Also we’ve been saving $20 every month. I also take $25 and put it back into my business. I am still having the online contest where if you make a purchase online you are entered to win $15 worth of free Avon products. Anybody can go to my store & make a purchase and I will cover the shipping for the free products.

We’ve also started to work on Wednesdays for my parents vending business. Our weekly pay checks went form being $40 to $60 to $80 to

Lilly sitting in Troy's train table drawer....

$120 a week. It cots $60 to fill our van up and with baseball, doctor appointments, work, doing Avon delivery’s we 3/4′s of a tank every week. We would put in a bulk of our weekly pay check, then still have to buy diapers and anything else the kids need.

Besides work & baseball we haven’t done much. We’re still settling into our  new rental. I think I have about 6 more boxes to unpack and then that’s it. We still do need to pick some things up for the new house but we’re picking them up slowly. We went from having carpet to tile. Wet tile & toddlers do not mix. Oh no not at all. We need to invest in some rugs. Who knew that rugs were anywhere from $3o to $150 (and more)? Not us that’s for sure. So for now we’ve been very careful to not spill anything on the tile. We also only mop after the kids have gone to bed.  The big thing is Rachel for some reason won’t stay in her bed at night and will sleep on the floor.. Tile gets cold. Cold tile wakes up a sleeping toddler. Who then wakes up her mom or dad at 4am in the morning. I do not like to be woken up at 4am in the morning. We need a rug in her room.

Flowers for mommy

Speaking of Rachel & sleeping. We had to move Troy & Rachel’s room around because she would keep waking Troy up. We had to move their beds as far apart as we could. Since Troy came out of his room this morning and said “Thank you so much mommy. I slept sooo good last night”. I believe it helped.

That reminds me 5 years ago on (April 1st) I discovered I was pregnant with Troy. Yeah of course my husband didn’t believe me then but he did after I had the blood test done on April 3ird & it said positive.

Its baseball season

I want to apologize for not posting in a while. Charles has been coaching baseball and three nights a week we are at the baseball fields. Plus we added another day of work into our week (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday), Monday is the day I’ve been putting out Avon brochures and calling people (plus during the week nights as needed & when I can. Then Friday is my ordering day for Avon, Saturday is delivery & sorting day. Then Sunday I am out delivering orders.  Its gotten crazy.

Want to win $15 worth of free Avon products?

I haven’t talked much about it but I started to sell Avon last month in the hopes that it would help cover some of our bills. I’ve tried to find work but I couldn’t find a job flexible enough that would allow me to be able to take Rachel to all of her appointments. So here I am trying to sell Avon. To help get some business I am giving away $15 worth of Avon products. The winner gets to pick the products and I will cover the shipping

There are two ways to get an entry to win:

  1. Place an order at my online store – YourAvon.com/MelissaAmick — use code FIRSTREP to get free shipping to your front door.
  2. Share this with your friends & family! If they order you get an additional entry (or entries if several order). They will get an entry & you get a bonus one as well. Of course I need to know that you referred them! You can do that by telling me on my facebook page or by e-mail (WinterMama21 [AT] Gmail [DOT] Com). Just tell me who you are & who you referred. Once I verify that they placed an order you both will get an entry.

I will be randomly picking the winner on May 1st and they will be contacted through e-mail.

Good luck and thank you for reading this. (Even more thanks if you place an order or share this with a friend/family member/co-worker/anyone!).
